为庆祝英国和墨西哥建交200周年，英国首次举办墨西哥艺术家 José María Velasco 作品展，聚焦 Velasco 在风景画艺术领域作出的贡献。这亦是英国国家美术馆首次为历史上的拉丁美洲艺术家举办展览。
José María Velasco（1840-1912）的作品主要描绘墨西哥谷地区的自然和城镇风光，创作题材涵盖本土植物、岩石和火山地质，以及以工厂和铁路为主角的工业化景象，反映了墨西哥的历史与现代化过程。
