本次展览将展出美国摄影师 Diane Arbus（戴安·阿勃丝）的摄影作品100余件，展品年代为1956年至1962年。
摄影师 Diane Arbus（1923 - 1971年）于1946年与丈夫 Allan Arbus（艾伦·阿勃丝）在曼哈顿开展广告摄影业务，为《时尚芭莎》等杂志拍摄照片。1956年她离开与丈夫经营十余年的时尚摄影公司，转而从事独立摄影师的工作。
此次展出的摄影作品是 Diane Arbus 成为独立摄影师之后最初7年的作品。这一时期她开始关注被忽略的社会弱势人群，在纽代时代广场、东城区和康尼岛等地点，用镜头记录行为古怪的人（Eccentrics）、患有精神疾病的人、马戏团演员、反串艺人等。
